Edible City is a documentary film that introduces a diverse cast of extraordinary characters who are challenging the paradigm of our broken food system. The film digs deep into their unique perspectives and transformative work, finding inspirational, grass-roots solutions based on growing local food systems and economies.
The film focuses on Seattle and it’s nearly two centuries of culinary traditions with the meeting of various peoples and their wise and sometimes novel use of the local natural resources.
Discover the secret history of the Pacific Northwest’s favourite foods: learn the origins of the Rainier cherry, see treasures from the long history of Pike Place Market, get acquainted with the man behind the city’s first sushi bar, and debate Seattle’s signature dishes.
